How did Shopify come into being
Shopify started over thirteen years ago, when the founder Tobi Lütke wanted to sell snowboards with his company at that time called Snowdevil! He quickly realized it was incredibly challenging to sell snowboards online without an easy to use ecommerce platform. So he decided to create it himself, and Shopify was born in 2006.
Now Shopify has become a world-class ecommerce software that can help you build your online business.
Shopify is now the leading commerce platform designed for small and medium-sized businesses. Whether you sell online, on social media, in-store, or out of the trunk of your car, Shopify has you covered.
Shopify Reviews – What Can I Sell on Shopify?
By now, we hope you’re excited and ready to start selling your product or service on Shopify.
Before heading to the next lesson you may be interested to know that entrepreneurs use Shopify to sell more than physical products.
Below you’ll find the different products or services that you can sell on Shopify. Even if you know what you’re selling already, it may give you some ideas for other services you could sell to grow your business.
- A physical product. A physical product could be something you create like jewellery, bath bombs, t-shirts, gift boxes, beef jerky or pins to name a few.
- Digital products. This could include ebooks, email templates, audio downloads, lightroom presets for photographers, ecourses, to doll clothing patterns.
- Services and consultations. Whether you’re an interior designer, dentist or a life coach, your customers can book online and sell online or in-person consultations.
- Memberships. If you want to sell subscription boxes or if you’re a yoga studio owner you can use Shopify to sell your memberships and create member-only access to your content on your website.
- Ticketed Experiences. Experience-based businesses can range from travel and adventure to wine tastings and hands-on workshops. If you’re an artist or running a networking event, you can use Shopify to sell those tickets!
- Classes and lessons. Customers can purchase, rent, and book lessons from you all through the online store.
- Rentals. Rental businesses are technically service-based, even though a physical product is involved. So if you’d like to rent dresses or props for example you can use the Shopify platform.
The sky is truly the limit with what you can sell on Shopify.
Shopify Price?
Shopify offers competitive rates and pricing plans to help you find one that fits your needs and budget.
If you are unsure which pricing plan to choose, then register for a 14-dayfree trial to see how Shopify’s features can help you to sell your products and build your business. You can always upgrade your plan to add new features and functionality to your store.
Shopify Free trial
If you want to try Shopify before committing to an active monthly plan, then you can sign up for a free 14-day trial. Your free trial begins when you first sign up, not when you start working on your store. You won’t lose any of the work you complete on your store during your free trial when you choose a paid plan. If you choose a paid plan during your free trial, then you won’t be charged any subscription fees until the end of your free trial period.
You can set up your store during the free trial, but you need to choose a monthly plan before you start selling your products or services. If you don’t select a monthly plan at the end of your free trial, then your store will be paused and you will not be able to continue working on it until you choose a paid plan. If you don’t choose a pricing plan during your free trial, then you don’t need to take any action to cancel your Shopify account.
